| Herby Derby Drivers All rules for the full size cars must be observed along with these additions: |
- Cars and station wagons with 3, 4, or 6 cylinder engines only.
- Cars must be 108" or less wheel base, wheel base is measured from front hub center to rear hub
center. - Standard type compact or smaller cars only. NO PACER or VOLVO cars, NO pickup trucks allowed.
- Suspension must remain at standard heigth. NO spacers, stops, blocks, or reversed spring shackles
used to raise or lower car. Torsion bars may not be adjusted to raise or lower car. - Shocks may not be welded, and no more that 4 band spring (original size) allowed.
- Rear spring and rear end may not be tied to frame. Stock type springs only - No truck springs.
- Rear end or differential must be of stock type, welding gears is ok. No wire or chains from rear end
springs to body or frame. - Original gas tank must be removed unless it is in front of the rear axle. Cars must use gasoline, NO
propane or diesel powered cars. - A door brace is allowed; and recommended on the passenger door.
- Prize money will be determined, the day of the derby, by the number of Herbies entered.
Herby cars will have their own separate competition. All Herby cars will run in
the same heat. At this time we plan to run that heat between the full sized cars
Hard Luck heat and the Main. This is to allow all Main transfers some time to
prepare their cars. Prizes will be determined by the number of entrants.
